Two words: Know Thyself...

"Getting Down to what Makes America High" -- A documentary by a prominent
director on the history of addiction in the U.S. will air September 13 on
the Showtime cable station.  The film, "The Pursuit of Happiness: Smoking,
Drinking and Drugging in the 20th Century," examines the topic of substance
abuse and concludes that there is no solution to the problem because
experts believe the search for pleasure, chemically based or otherwise, is
a fundamental part of the human identity.  New York Times, 8/29, Sec. 2, p.
