If Robert Ludlum, say, had used the material, our political, scientific
and cultural leaders would have really taken notice. We p-listers all
know that Gravity's Rainbow is a perfectly readable book. But reading it
does take much valuable time, something world shakers and movers are in
very short supply of. Very few in the world are as previleged as we in
this regard.
