British soccer fans may, or may not, have caught the June 99 issue of
FourFourTwo ("Britain's Biggest Monthly Soccer Magazine"), which contains a
variety of candy sold at England football grounds including: Pear drops
("...pop one in, call an ambulance"), Wine Gums, Strawberry Bonbons
("...wreck your teeth by chomping them..."), Barley Sugars, Aniseed Twists
("Arguably the strongest smelling sweets in the world, outdoing dung, paint
and petrol..."), Cola Cubes ("...the taste will be with you for hours
after...)and Sherbert Pips ("They're like sand...").
Descriptions quoted from FourFourTwo. As an aside, if you like soccer,
FourFourTwo is pretty good, and pretty damn funny too.
