Yes.  I wasn't aware this was so widely known.  Couldn't be a coincidence.

As you know, the similarities abound.  Did you know that both Kennedy and
Lincoln had children _and_ a wife who died after they did?  And - bet you didn't
know this - both Mary Todd Lincoln and Jackie Kennedy owned a parakeet named
widget.  Not the same one, of course.
