NP: Audience Wide Asleep

I was one of those critical audience members, myself. I wasn't screaming
"Don't go in there" to Tom, I was screaming "Grow up!" Personally, I
thought the only thing more misogynistic than the premise WAS the film
technique. Paranoid male fantasy (granted GR could be called the same
thing, but Kubrick's is the Dark Side of the Force). Don't most men get
over that kind of crap anymore at about seventeen? She had a fantasy, for
God's sake! Give me a break!
