St. Veronica fits well in the context of Quests as she is a saint
associated with relics and images of Christ and the Virgin Mary. She is
best known for handing Christ a towel at or on the way to Calvary. After
wiping his face with it, the towel carried a lasting imprint of the
Master's face. Furthermore, in Latin, 'vera icon' means 'true image'
which has led to all manner of legend enhancement surrounding the person
of St. Veronica.*
