Max wondered why TRP uses talking dogs.

perhaps because "dog" is an anagram of "god"... ;-]

btw... is either the IG or the international cartel structure/gestalt/dialectic
in general referred to metaphorically as an octopus in the text of GR?

i seem to half-remember such a reference - but i could be thinking of _the
monkey wrench gang_ (a quite entertaining if somewhat sloppily written 1970's
luddite adventure novel) where It is called "the kraken".
