Thomas Harris's sequel to Silence of the Lambs is out today.
If anyone else on the list is a Red Dragon enthusiast, please give a
holler.

from todays Boston Herald:

For his part, novelist and former journalist Harris is giving no clue
to his desires. He has not given an interview in 20 years and will
not be promoting the sequel with the usual round of book signings
and chat shows. It took him 10 years to write Hannibal and his deal
with his publishers forbade them from changing a word.
"When I asked him why he wanted to avoid the press, he said that all
he has to say is through his books," said Delacorte Editor in Chief
Carole Baron.
The only way to hear Harris is to buy the audio copy of Hannibal and
listen to his gentle Mississippi accent relating one of the most
gruesome plots in popular fiction."

delacorte aint blowin smoke when they describe Harris's works as
"literary" page turners. You couldn't get me off the throne with a
Johnson bar in those early morning hours spent with Francis
Dollarhyde.

love,
