Well we're coming to the end of section 3...thanks to the woodwacka for
the catabolistic catalyzation....with apologies to Tom Waits' new tune
EYEBALL KID.....Slothrop takes us into the weekend with a mule variation
of his own.....follow the bouncing eyeball to section 4 this Monday:
'the' Kenosha Kid
Well Zenora Bariella
and Coriander Pyle
they had sixteen children
in the usual style
They had a curio museum
and they had no guile
All they ever wanted
was a sensational child
So on the 7th of Dec. 1920
they got what
they'd been wishing for
all of the time
He grew up in a trailer
by the time he was 9
he danced off to join
the army...skywriting
on the side
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
Well the first time I saw him
was in 1931
they said it was the Northern Lights
he said read between the lines my son
I said hey Kid you left out 'the'
he said no matter boy
you're no bother to me
People would point
People would stare
I'll always be here to protect you
In my trout fly underwear
I know you can't speak
I know you can't sign
So skywrite here
On this parabolic line
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
Well he was born in a greasy spoon
Out Wisconsin way
Conceived by dairy farmers
A proverbial roll in the hay
He's not conventionally handsome
He'll never be tall
Always wanted to do the Lindy
In Carnegie Hall
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
Hail Hail, 'the' Kenosha Kid
He's just a little bitty thing
He's just a little guy
But he drives the women crazy
When he writes in the sky
They say how does he dream?
He's always on the brink
And that Slothrop Affair
Nearly drove him to drink
I say HAIL HAIL...the Kenosha KID
Hail Hail...the KENOSHA kid
How does he dream?
He's always on the brink
That Slothrop Affair
Nearly drove him to drink
We're all lost in the Zone
As blind as can be
Kenosha-Logos in the sky
Teach us how to See
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hail, Hail...Kenosha Kid
Hail, Hail...Kenosha Kid
