Actually, it stands for "Fellow in the Royal College of Surgeons" and
is, apparently, an actual alphabet soup title.  I seem to remember a
Monty Python bit where John Cleese portrayed a person of some apparent
importance whose desktop nameplate had so many acronyms following his
name that it continued around the room.
