I probably shouldn't bother to fan the flames myself, but maybe somebody will
pay attention, reflect, and act--or stop acting. The problem arises when 
disagreements degenrate into childish squabbles that parties don't have 
the wisdom to abandon or the courtesy to take offlist. Don't you/they realize
how monumentally _boring_ it is and how embarrassingly trivial? I've been 
chastized as elitist before for recommending self-restraint, and even though I
think that was a cheap shot, it still stings. I don't want to sound pompous
or be undemocratic. Just, c'mon and give us a break and stop acting childish.
Don't make it so hard to want to keep liking and thinking well of youse.
