Hello!
What is this going to be? A discussion about the virtues of certain
countries?
If any of you want to start a debate about specific national policies,
why don´t
you just start up your own forum?
When I signed up to this list, I actually thought this would be about
the work of
Mr. T. Pynchon. I definetly didn´t expect a discussion about one´s
nation´s
policies in daily politics.
Of course there are differences in the reception of Mr. P´s work, in
relation to
your own cultural background. So let´s discuss those differences in the
proper
places, that is the context of the work!
After all, I think that Pynchon´s books are qualified to be called
"world-literature", so we should all have a say, no matter where we come
from...
This discussion seems to be so fruitless...
Furthermore I´d like to add, that GR is timeless enough to talk about it
without
referring to today´s-occurences. So, please spare your own chauvinistic
nationalist breath for someone who cares...
