Of course, and more appropriately so, there was a *Richard III* set in a nazi-esque country.  Both, the attire and the characterization of Richard III were exceptional.

I guess Martin Heidegger and his favored attire failed to make it to 
the list.  By the way, several decades ago Orson Welles did a 
production of Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR set in facist Italy.  Black 
trenchcoats everywhere.
