Entering the Real World?

To stray a bit from the general discussion...
I am entering my last year of college, and am already feeling the
depression created from the realization that I have to decide what to do
with my life. I will have earned a B.A. in English, and will be at a
significant crossroads, wondering whether to pursue a doctorate in the
same vein, and stay in academia, or to sell out if favor of more lucrative
prospects. I mention this because I wonder if any of you have reached
similar conundrums, and if so, if you have any advice for a naive college
kid. Apparently getting jobs as an alligator hunter doesn't work anymore.
Thanks,
	Graham
