Pudding is dissolving. Slowly but surely.

Here's another "why" question:
Why would the Firm have put Pudding, so clearly not up to the task, at the
head of "the White Visitation?"  Do They practice "free market/Darwinian"
management?  One would doubt it, Their being so big on Control.

Here's  a thought that's sure to be old here, but does anybody see "The
White Visitation" to be a reference to Moby Dick (another reason for
"PISCES), another microcosm like that on the Pequod, maybe after the whole
sick crew has been swallowed by the whale?
