as session iv draws to a close, my last impression this time down the toilet and
through the sewer is that red river valley and certain other TRP imagery reminds
me more than a bit of something Mr. Burroughs might have cooked up. NL's
control-freak political party also has a certain resonance.
(sorry if this turf's old...anyone done/seen a detailed analysis of WSB's
influence on TRP's texts?)

also, btw, it's good to see the name "Gunther Grass" coming up in this
discussion, imho... (now if only i can hurry up and finish Rabelais then maybe i
can get around to re-visiting _Dog Years_)...
