GRGR(13) Boogie

Boogie woogie piano is a style dating, I think, from the mid-thirties.
Slightly tangential to jazz, its most well-known players would be Albert
Ammons (father of jazz saxophonist Gene) and Meade Lux-Lewis(sp?).
I think the defining feature is an eight-to-the-bar left hand pattern
(with lots of blues riffing in the right.) Beat me daddy.

I don't think Marvy has much interest in music. It seemed to me he's just
saying look at all those boogies when he says 'boogie, boogie, boogie'
