 Yes, the man was smoking cigarettes & drinking coffee as if he got paid for it. 
 Nothing wrong with that. But this combination, continuously taken, definitely  
 IS a hard drug. Much harder than the pot and the acid he was agitating against.

            muscaria) like the ones with "polymorph perversity" (- S/M &        
            "unclassified") help him to dissolve the armor, he like (nearly)    
            everybody else is suffering from. We'll come to that now. Later on  
            Slothrop will experience the wonder of feeling "just natural". But 
            that's a long way. Be honest: Can you really call your genitals your 
            "own"?!
