The late Carl Sagan guest-lectured my Psych 101 (1977) class at Cornell. He
told us freshmen that once the human female pelvis reached its limit for
passing a bigger head libraries had to take up the slack for human
biological limits. That made a lot of sense, although it could be argued
that human brain cell might have gotten more efficient...
