pynchon book siting on 60 minutes

Did anyone see "60 minutes" last night? In a piece about RP (a
disease that causes blindness) they interviewed a NY writer suffering
from the disease. They showed his bookcase which prominently displayed
"Mason and Dixon." Also, on the cover of his book (titled "Smack Jack" I
think) I believe I saw "intro by Thomas Pynchon." Poor guy can't read
TRP or his own books.
