although it is possible to feel crappy while on 'shooms.
i have no personal experience with x myself so i only have what other folk
say to go off of and i've heard quite a bit about post x depression from
these people.
as for artificial vs. real happiness...can't argue that without going in
circles. it's a matter of opinion. and for the record i have been and am not
opposed to being artificially happy. i think it's an important experience
actually.
but, there is a difference between "this pill i took made me happy" and "i am
happy because the chemicals in my brain did this and that all on their own
without any help"
because some of the text in gr you would think pynchon may be suspicious of a
man made happy pill. but then again that is just wild conjecture on my part
and i don't want to start another useless flame war.
