I was not disputing these issues in my post. Without having read
this book I can assume that most of these accusations have some merit.
I was replying to David Morris's contention that the idea of
mediation which in my experience would mostly consist of interaction with
priests is somehow wrong and disheartening. I was discussing the idea of
"mediation" not taking part in the earlier argument about this particular
pope.
The average Roman Catholic has surprisingly little interaction with
the Pope.
