In an otherwise normal issue of NYPress (i.e. nothing worth one's While
to read) this week, Alexander Cockburn has a nice article on the
changing politics of marijuana cultivation in Garberville, CA. -- As an
extra bonus for Pynchonophiles, he mentions that the early '80's were
"high-roller days when you'd see growers seizing up $250 jeroboams of
Veuve-Clicquot by the armful in the Redway liquor store."
