The "creature" is not able to strive with the "Master." Thus he is by nature
"innocent." The equation might be false. The clay might rightly ask the
potter, " Why makest me thus?"

This may be the Pivot: "The Moving Master." But I think Pynchon aches for a
solution. Moving Masters dance away when questioned.
