Pointsman tries his hand at some blank verse, then exercises authority and control at the weekly "White Visitation" briefing.
Webley Silvernail remains after the briefing and performs a musical number with a chorus line of lab rats & mice in a parody of Busby Berkeley and Disney's Fantasia, among other things.
Katje, dressed as Domina Nocturna, serves Brigadier Pudding an erotic dinner, helping Pointsman in his scheme to control Pudding and secure funding.

The vernal equinox: Spring comes to von Braun, "The White Visitation," and the Casino. The conspiracy Slothrop senses has grown, but has lost its appearance of omnipotence since the Wales' Tails game. We get the first of the Proverbs for Paranoids from the narrator.
Roland Feldspath is in touch with Slothrop, though not particularly impressed with the "figurehead for the latest passage" (238).
Roland thinks about how young Germans were pushed from their playgrounds into Their world of Control.
This gives Slothrop a bad taste in his mouth and a gut feeling that helps him begin to see how conglomerates like Shell and IG Farben work both sides of the war for their own profit, leading to Proverb #2.

Slothrop heads out to Raoul's for the party. Things are a bit decadent. Slothrop meets Blodgett Waxwing, a badass. Pynchon introduces the phrase, "You're the man."
Enter Sherman tank; note the lack of erection in Slothrop's pants.
Slothrop gets zoot suit and address in Nice from Waxwing.
