Instead of "Bedazzled" (a 1967 Peter Cook-Dudley Moore movie) or "Blinded
by the Light" (a 198O Kristy McNichol TV-movie and, I guess, a Bruce
Springsteen song), it's called _Auto-da-Fe_ in English (and in an early
American edition _Tower of Babel_), trans. by C. V. Wedgwood, 1946. Gosh,
that seems to be Cicely Veronica Wedgwood, author of several
seventeenth-century histories.
