just came across this...don't know if it's been pointed out before. 
in the 1930's a british filmaker made a short called the lambeth walk. he 
took footage from the triumph of the will and used reverse motion editing and 
optical printing techniques to make the german soldiers appear to be dancing 
to the british song.
