Lucy to Gucci,

How grounded need we be to discuss?  Has anyone here felt it necesary to 
nail down the singing words of Tom Waitts?  How can we begin to discuss in 
"real" terms the paintings of Jackson Pollack?  Roots run deeper than words, 
or so think I.  Words are by their nature "loosey-goosey."  Philosophy also, 
though I welcome them both.  Pictures speak....  Icons speak...  
Abstractions too.

"Frames" hold onto loosey-goosey-ness, but they are only tools.  They must 
not become our masters.

Closing the book cannot turn off the mind.  Try sometime to stop your 
mind...
