HEADLINE: Martha's Vineyard low-key as presidential visit approaches
BYLINE: By ALEXIS CHIU, Associated Press Writer
DATELINE: EDGARTOWN, Mass.

In this island town, a presidential visit - once the subject of feverish
preparation and endless talk - has become a routine August affair.

(blah blah blah)

Bunches of Grapes Bookstore in Tisbury has already put together a bag of free
books for the Clintons.

This year's picks include Boston lawyer Alan Dershowitz's thriller "Just
Revenge," the second volume of Blanche Wiesen Cook's biography of Eleanor
Roosevelt and Thomas Pynchon's "Mason & Dixon." For Chelsea Clinton, the
store's
offerings include the science-fiction book "To Say Nothing of the Dog" by
Connie
Willis.

In a letter to the Clintons detailing the contents of the gift, store manager
Robby Bick says that signed copies of "Dark Lady" by Richard North Patterson
will be included - Clinton is an avid mystery reader - "though we fear that
this
tale of corruption, greed and murder will keep you reading late into the night
when you should be getting some rest."

(blah blah blah period)
