Film reduces--and Katje looking with the
pleasure of the cameraman's eye is a good example--the
reality outside the self. Film perverts what it seeks to
preserve, record, recount, REVERSE.

i'm posting all this because it reminds me of a scene in "until the end of 
the world". after being addicted to images of her own dreams one character is 
brought back to reality by another character...a novelist..who makes her read 
his take on the whole affair. after seeing herself recontextualized she snaps 
out of her near catatonic state.
