Sorry to jump the gun <g> on section 24 here, but I just had a couple of
additions to suggest. Ignore them at your peril.

for pp. 537 - 540, the bizarre party, I'm not sure quite why but side 1
of Blind Boy Fuller's album "East Coast Piedmont Style" is excellent
accompaniment for the candy pull. I need to experiment around a little
with timing the start of the record and such before I can come up with
any kind of Wizard/Dark Side correspondence theory, but if you have the
record (or if you know someone who has the record), give it a listen
starting with the Rag Mama rag; take it slow and you should meet up with
Pirate right about at the beginning of "You Better Think Again". Just do
what feels right.

On p. 540, for the Soap Room, listen to Robyn Hitchcock's "Ted, Woody
and Junior".

    Ted, Woody and Junior
    Stand in the bath together
And they cover each other with soap,
    Cover each other with soap,
    Cover each other with soap...

    Ted, Woody and Junior
    Were disappointments to their father
But they had a way with lather
And they cover each other with soap,
    Cover each other with soap,
    Cover each other with soap...

   You get the idea,
Jeremy (champing at the bit)

A dialogue between the Intellect and the Senses.
I: It is by convention that color exists,
by convention sweet, by convention bitter.
S: Ah, wretched intellect, you get your
evidence only as we give it to you,
and yet you try to overthrow us. That
       overthrow will be your downfall.
