Which was a misreading, or selective reading at least, of my post, right? So
I was just reiterating what was its more salient point.
Quite probably, as Paul mentioned, Crownshaw isn't riding the Holocaust pony
in a cheap way at all, but I'd also agree strongly that the readings he
offers aren't really tenable either, and even Crownshaw appears to admit the
problematic nature of the interpretations he is offering within the article
itself, as Paul succinctly summarised it.
And, of course, there *are* those who would and do ride that particular pony
in the ways I've mentioned -- novelists, historians, lit critters,
discussion list trolls -- who have been doing so hereabouts in the past week
or so, and quite vehemently too. Imo.
