Lightning

Gotta run, but have been waiting for my own flash of inspiration in re: all 
the lightning references in Gravity's Rainbow.  Returning to that "Polish 
undertaker" (and recall such unheard of names as Oswieczim et al.; and, by 
the way, we may "want cause and effect," but do we ever GET any there?  Hm 
...), wearing that modified "Wehrmacht helmet," (V663) who "wants to know 
how people behave before and after lightning bolts" (V665).  Lightning 
bolts, SS (and those tunnels, those pulley spokes--by the way, EVERYBODY 
who's read that passage so far concurs with Doug and Otto), Blitzkrieg, that 
Tarot card, Martin Luther's "thunderbolt" (what's the German there? More or 
less equivalent with "lightning"?) in that tower privy ...
