No, but it's quite a subtle trick, that is, how the
misrepresentation is reallocated, say from the shiftless
Negro to the shiftless Chinese, and more difficult to spot
is how hollywood managed to shift the negative stereotypes
from the chinese to the japs, from the japs to the N korean
to the N vietnamese. Very tricky stuff, the MOdel Minority
of America is not a model minority. He/she is no more smart,
no more educated, no more successful, no more inscrutable
than other minorities, but hate and stereotypes, slurs and
racial slurs, as P points out again and again, TSI, here in
V. with Mafia's fiction, Sphere and Paola, is no simple
game, it's complex and it's powerful and hollywood is better
at it than almost anyone, but Washington and the true Elite
who manufacture it.
