Zinn

   I recently finished reading Howard Zinn's "A People's History Of The USA",
a book which was mentioned/recommended many times in the couple years (off and
on) that I've been lurking on the list.  I loved it, especially since I
majored in engineering at school and didn't take any history classes of *any*
kind.  So I was wondering, is there a similar -- in terms of length and
viewpoint -- volume on modern European or Asian history?
