  according to mathew winston's biographical piece from 1975, trp could have 
  got the first idea for gr as early as 1954. beeing home on long island for 
  college hollidays, he could have read an article on an exhibition about the v 
  1 in a local paper called "oyster bay guardian". on 2/7/54 (- that is july) 
  the headline went: "hitler's secret weapon to look at in greenvale" (- once 
  more re-translated from the german translation).
