I see what he means and his pointer to the Pope's "Faith and Reason" (the 
two wings that support the flight of the Holy Spirit) is a good one.

But I chuckle to remember my old Maryknoll missal -- thicker than GR or M&D 
(if you level the playing field by using the same page stock for all) -- 
and the delight I took when I discovered that every day of the year was a 
celebration for one or more saints/events.
