If you are looking for more specific GR issues, I would encourage going to
http://www.hyperarts.com/pynchon and posting on the message boards.  From
my experience, email lists are groups of people with similar interests and
more often than not the discussions stray off topic.  I can't count the
number of books, records, etc. that I have discovered thanks to this list.
If you want strictly on-topic discussion, stick to message boards or
newsgroups.
