The Porsche would be a bit of an anachronism. The first car under the name
was produced in Gmund, Austria, in May 1948. It was mostly Volkswagen
but with the engine in front of the rear axel. The rear engine 356/2 came
out very soon. You still see 356s around. There's often one parked within
view of my computer--beautifully restored.
