CIA and Kennedy assassination

Paul Mackin said, among other things, "that if the CIA HAD killed him some
actual evidence for it would have turned up in 37 years. " I've been
hearing that argument ever since the Warren Report. I see two big problems
with it. First, it assumes the CIA innocent until proven guilty, which
flies in the face of what we know about the CIA. (This is, remember, the
organization that embraced with open arms -- among many evil others -- some
of the worst war criminals of the Nazi regime to counter what was seen as
alarming Soviet influence in post-WWII Europe.) And, this argument ignores
the possibility that the CIA could have destroyed evidence or eliminated
witnesses that might testify to its involvement.
