the proselytizer's joy

 frank, a colleague of mine, to whom i had recommended gr, really read it 
 through in the 10 days of christmas vacation. furthermore, he enjoyed it so 
 much that he took long quotations into his notebook. & he will go on reading  
 our man. well, his favourite book is "ulysses". caught him with something like 
 "yes, ulysses is one of the greatest books ever, but gr is the one & only novel 
 which might be even better than this masterpiece of jj". directly frank ran   
 into the next bookshop. welcome to the club!
