NP A little Privacy Rant (long)

Have I missed something here?  Issues of Internet privacy do not begin and
end with the cookie business.  Probably the biggest issues have to do with
the fact that internet "security" is a sham.  Information of the kind that
used to be locked in guarded vaults is being transferred into gee-whiz
formats that can be accessed from any phone in the world.  Furthermore,
email and other forms of Internet message-sending undermine the
breakthrough in communications represented by the primitive sealable
envelope.
