Identifying with TRP characters

Oedipa Maas. Indeed, on my reading, Oedipa figure the, er, figure of the
reader, of The Crying of Lot 49 or otehrwise, not only confronted with the
immediate question of, well, just what the hell is going on in the first
place, but also with the more fundamental question of, well, just what is
significant in the first place. Sorting that "information" from that
"noise'" (as) if that's at all possible ...
