Identifying with TRP characters

Hi all,

I'd be interested to know with whom (if anyone) in Pynchon's stories you
identify. AFA GR, I have moments of identity with Slothrop and with
Roger but not sustained (though I feel empathy with both throughout the
book), oh, and Leni too. This is a distinction -- I feel empathy with
many, most, of the characters; by identity I mean the feeling of
actually being in the character's head, I can't quite put it into words
but it is stronger than what I describe as empathy. In Vineland I get a
fairly sustained feeling of identity with Zoyd and with Prairie, too.
