Long summary of book recommendations 7/00

I want to echo the recommendation for Coetzee...I have read Waiting For
The Barbarians and Disgrace, and both are stunning, particularly the
latter. I am willing to bet the guy wins a Nobel in the next ten to
fifteen years. Best,
