The Tricia Rose book is by far the best of the lot (she coedited a collection called
Microphone Fiends: Youth Music and Youth Culture with Andrew Ross which might be of
interest as well), but I haven't, i'm ashamed to admit, read that Brian Cross book
(It's Not About a Salary) yet, so ...
