Starting with Things Fall Apart might be a bit rough.  They have other stuff 
which is more melodic and accessible, and if you get into that that you're 
more likely to get Things Fall Apart.  Unless you have no sense of rhythm or 
style you can't go wrong with Do You Want More?, and Illadelph Halflife kicks 
ass too.

I've never even heard of Mos Def, can't wait to check that out.  Thanks.
