Shit is one of the most frequently appearing words in the English
language, at least in American English. Either the word used by itself or
the word specified by animal of origin. The differences in meaning
are quite precise. As a hopefully useful guide for persons whose
native language is not English let me give some examples.
Bullshit--You don't expect me to believe that bullshit (nonsense).
Horseshit--Don't give me a lot of horseshit (abuse) about being late for
work.
Chickenshit--This place has too many chickenshit (overly strict) rules to
follow.
Apeshit--Don't go apeshit (insane) over it. In otherwords calm down.
Batshit--Batshit! Isn't this a little like bullshit.
Corrections welcomed.
