Repression is sexual/racial in GR. So Slothrop's mythic
phobia and his repressed desire to be sodomized and the big
black ape with dress etc. is indeed related to his
relationship to Enzian the half black brother of Tch and
most importantly to homosexual S&M as rocket of death and
sterility.
