Another guy in this category and even worse, IMHO, is George
Will. Browsing in the local bookstore I picked up a popularly writen 
volume by a woman who is a linguistics professor (in one of the California
schools I think). She really lights into the problematics of George's
text and she says it would take volumes more to really develop the point.
